When I first divorced in 2013 I would wake up in the morning and look up philosophers. I would find a quote to focus on the day, one that made sense and helped me see the positive side of life. I started reading and wanted to understand the psyche. I wanted to understand my own psyche so I would never find myself in a position like that ever again. A position of betrayal. I never wanted to knowingly not have a way of justice in the works. Blood or not. I would never allow anyone to fool me ever again and I began to paint and write about it. It became a walk of deep spirituality. It became a walk of deciphering everyone’s body language, tone change and scanning of misalignment. I vowed to see so deeply into others that I would see without seeing. I would know without knowing. Lessons began to pour in. Epiphanies began to pour in. Nature was my teacher. Everything I needed to know about humanity was mirrored in Mother Nature. She was my purest home and still is. I love my hymns and love my Eucharist and now the Holy Spirit simply tells me what I need to know about a person. There’s a level of getting yourself prepared to have that sort of relationship with the Holy Spirit and that is what I used to teach. I would teach what I painted about. You can only teach what you know so I made it the only point of my every breath to know myself. When you know yourself you know others. You see the way they lie, dismantle sacred truths and twist a narrative so far out into the abyss that looks so believable when really it is their own insecurity fabricating a movie for others to watch, a newspaper article for others to read. Now, when I teach, it’s solely in the moment. That is where God loves. That is where God lives.
