The Mustard Seed of Faith. It’s so imperative that we follow through with the seed that God plants in us. Eric’s seed came in 3 parts according to Mom and his funeral. Michael Davidson so graciously reminded us of Eric’s Promise in full which is the following: Not lie so much, be more giving and do more random acts of kindness.
Back to the seed. There are very powerful passages in the Bible about the Mustard Seed. Google it when you have a second and watch God transform your life.
Here is the point. When working at Meridian Title I asked the marketing friend of mine where his kiddos went to school so I could reach out to that school for Eric’s Promise. This was prior to 2016. He said Montessori Good Shepherd in South Bend. I reached out and offered to speak to the children. At first, crickets but then God did something spectacular as He always does! My family was on a carriage ride for Christmas in Michigan and lo and behold guess who was sitting with us? A co-founder of the Good Shepherd Montessori School. I said something to nature of – well hello there my friend.
We connected and she remembered my email. Lo and behold I ended up going to speak to her students that following year for Eric’s Promise. I received a tour of the school that day and the only thing I remember is her mentioning the mustard seed.
Fast forward and what happens next? She came and was one of my students at the Center for Spiritual Growth. The message stemmed from The Swan, fiery roses of Blessed Mother Mary and the River. Bottom line was Trust and Forgiveness. I was holding space for this under the umbrella of Intuitive Painting.
Fast forward and what happens next? I was driving in Colorado literally at a place called Swan Mountain when I received a call from my friend saying she was at the viewing of this beautiful woman and she had passed.
When my Mother Mary Molnar asked me to pray for her I was rooted in the rosary and taken to her favorite spot to ride her bike where she would see swans out in the country roads. It was paired with the number 5. This is important because it ties to the following. Stay with me.
I was in the Lions Den and went to St. Dominic’s Church in Bremen, Indiana for help. He invited me to confession. I confessed my fear instead of being in faith. My penance was to say, “Jesus, I Trust in You” 5 times. After that was Mass. Still praying the rosary I found myself in pew 5. After that I walk out and the only car had a license plate of 555! Back in Colorado God gave me a dictionary of sorts to help see the unseen and understand what was trying to hurt me as I help the people. He showed me 555 was Altruism. It also means Strength. Now, here’s the kicker. The birthday of someone in my life who is supposed to be helping me and isn’t is the Feast Day of St. Faustina. He is a Lion in my life. Not a helper but a hinder to my call as God’s Daughter and serving Christ. He mocks me, spits on me and talks poorly of me to everyone. 🙂 I smile because the whole point of this is Faith over Fear. I see what He is doing because God showed me. Here’s the point. Remember how I emailed the school and they didn’t respond to me but then later God arranged something far beyond my imagination because of my faith? This is happening now with this family member. Watch God orchestrate the greatest show ever to show that I am proof of Christ’s Love.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
The Mustard Seed. Eric. My brother. My heart. Don’t underestimate my God. Thank you.
